ORF 2 is an Austrian nationwide public-service television channel operated by Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF). The channel began broadcasting on 11 September 1961 as a technical experimental second television programme and later became one of the main television channels of Austria's public broadcaster.

ORF 2 focuses primarily on news, current affairs, cultural and educational programming. Its schedule includes news bulletins, analytical and discussion programmes, documentaries, magazines, as well as programmes about culture, business, science, religion and Austrian society.
